For all of you who are trying to stay away from meat, I have picked out some mouthwatering recipes for you . Lets start off with a Falafel .
Tinned Chickpeas / 1 Onion / Garlic / Chilies / Cumin / Plain Flour / Lemon Juice / Parsley / Ground Coriander / Pitta / Lettuce / Yoghurt / Mint (1)
DRAIN chickpeas, peel onion and unwrap garlic (2) THROW chickpeas, onion, garlic, chilies, parsley, coriander in processor BLITZ into a paste SCOOP out into a bowl GAIN extra points by throwing it into the bowl from across the kitchen ADD two tbsps flour, and a tspn of cumin & coriander, mix together (3) GRAB a lump and shape (4) GIVE your falafel a name and a dark backstory FRY in two inches of hot oil until browned CHOP a large bunch of mint MIX mint with yoghurt and squeeze in lemon juice SERVE with warm pitta, chopped lettuce and minty yoghurt (5) READ your falafel the last rites, then devour mercilessly GET the book GO COOK YOURSELF |
